An external hard drive is a portable storage device that connects to a computer via a USB or other external connection. It provides additional storage space for storing files, documents, photos, videos, and other data. External hard drives are often used for backing up important data, expanding the storage capacity of a computer, or transferring files between different devices. They are available in various storage capacities and are a convenient way to keep data safe and accessible. **

No, the hard drive has not disappeared after installing a new hard drive. When you install a new hard drive, the existing hard drive should still be present and accessible unless it has been physically removed or disconnected. It is possible that the new hard drive has not been properly installed or configured, or that there may be an issue with the computer recognizing both hard drives. It is recommended to check the connections and settings to ensure both hard drives are properly recognized by the computer. **

The choice between cloud storage and a hard drive depends on your specific needs and preferences. Cloud storage offers the advantage of accessibility from anywhere with an internet connection, as well as the ability to easily share files with others. On the other hand, a hard drive provides physical storage that can be more secure and reliable for sensitive or large files. Ultimately, the best option may be a combination of both, utilizing cloud storage for convenience and accessibility, and a hard drive for local storage and backup. **

The best hard drive reader depends on your specific needs and the type of hard drive you want to read. If you have a traditional HDD, a USB 3.0 external hard drive reader would be a good choice for fast data transfer speeds. If you have a newer SSD, a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 reader would be ideal for even faster transfer speeds. It's important to consider the interface compatibility, transfer speeds, and any additional features such as offline cloning or data recovery capabilities when choosing a hard drive reader. **

Purchasing a second hard drive can be a smart decision depending on your specific needs. If you find that your current hard drive is running out of storage space, adding a second hard drive can provide additional storage capacity for your files and data. It can also be a good idea if you want to separate your operating system and programs from your personal files for better organization and performance. Additionally, having a second hard drive can serve as a backup solution, providing redundancy and protection against data loss in case one of the drives fails. **
